As I left the screening, “Wow!” repeatedly played in my head. I had to tell the studio representative more than wow, so by the time I spoke to her, after “Wow!” I told her that I couldn’t believe this was written and directed by Zach Braff. Don’t get me wrong, that’s nothing against him, but he’s my hysterical J.D. from “Scrubs!” I know he’s so much more, but this was, too.

“John Wick: Chapter 4” does the opposite of many movie sequel series. It gets better, and more amped up, and full of more brutal action sequences than the prior movies. The hit man saga of ‘John Wick’ hits harder and with a more forceful punch than ever before. There is no shortage of bullets, blades or adrenaline in this action-packed 2 hours, 49 minutes of mayhem and madness. So, strap in for a roller coaster ride of revenge. Moving On Movie Review

Moving on is about Claire (Fonda) and Evelyn (Tomlin), attending the funeral of a dear friend from college named Joyce. Easy enough premise which, going in and meeting some characters, you know you’ll get the typical arc. There is an odd twist thrown in, but something needs to mesh.

The first “Shazam!” film starts in 1974. We meet a young Thaddeus Sivana played by Ethan Pugiotto, who is denied the opportunity to be the Champion mostly because his father believes him to be weak. When Thad grows up, he’s bitter and angry, working on the way to get back at the man who denied him happiness and the wizard (Djimon Hounsou) who stole his chance to show the world that he would be pure of heart if it were not for the family who created the darkness within him.

“Scream VI” takes the horror franchise to somewhere it has never been before – New York City. The Ghostface killer has moved to the Big Apple, to take a slice out of people there. To paraphrase Sinatra – “If I can slash ’em there, I can slash ’em anywhere”. But the extended string of ‘Scream’ movies is wearing very thin. Champions Movie Review

“Champions” is a remake of a Spanish movie in which a disgraced basketball coach is forced to do community service by coaching a team of intellectually challenged kids. This is the type of movie that could be really disturbing if all the jokes are at the expense of the ‘slow kids’.
