Streaming on Prime Video – January 26, 2024
“The Underdoggs” is a typical rehash of the down-on-their-luck sports team given a second chance by a famous sport legend who is in a legal jam. In this case, the emphasis is on ‘hash’, and ‘ganja’ and ‘weed’ and other smoke-able entities. This Hard R-rated comedy is right up the wheelhouse of the star – Snoop Dogg.
Though I.S.S. isn’t the biggest disappointment I’ve ever had at the theaters, it surely wasn’t as good as I had expected it would be nor as exceptional as the trailers made it out to be.
In case you didn’t know, the term for the film’s title came from the area surrounding Auschwitz. The Germans labeled the 15 square miles that bordered the concentration camp the Zone of Interest. It’s the perimeter or boundary between the security monitoring setup and the external network.

Carla Nowak (Leonie Benesch) is a young math and gym teacher, new to this school and new to the job as a whole. What you can tell right away is that she seems to be a bit in over her head.

C.S. Lewis was the writer of the children’s imaginative series The Chronicles of Narnia. “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” in 1950 marked the beginning of the series and the most popular of the set. Fame was also chatting about Christianity during WWII on the BBC. That’s not what this movie is about and the subject isn’t mentioned until the movie’s end in post-script.
The beginning has us in Paris, France. We see a young blonde actress, Madeleine Verdier, played by Nadia Tereszkiewicz, walking out of a beautiful estate after some screaming and indications of a fight. The music by Philippe Rombi is astounding.

“The Beekeeper” is a movie guaranteed to generate some ‘buzz’. But will this equate to good publicity, or will it ‘bee’ a typical January mediocre movie release?
