Get Duked! Movie Review
Streaming on Amazon Prime starting August 28
“Get Duked!” is the comedy-horror mash-up movie that follows some inner-city ‘Boyz’ who get dropped off into the Scottish Highlands for rigorous trek over hill and dale. Along the way they meet up with some Royals who have murderous intent. The young juvenile miscreants, along with one other home-schooled do-gooder, are avoiding criminal charges by taking the “Duke of Edinburgh Award for Trailblazing and Hiking” challenge. They do not notice that the first letters spell out DEATH…
Tesla Movie Review
“Tesla” is movie about the influential, but much-lesser known, counterpoint to Thomas Edison – Nikola Tesla. The facts surrounding Tesla’s life and his creative spirit should form the basis of a super-charged jolt of a movie. Alas, this effort proves that the juice can run out – even for a bio-pic of a person well ahead of his time.
Project Power Movie Review
“Project Power” is an action-filled movie where human superpowers can be delivered in a pill. The drug on the streets can make you invincible, for five minutes at a time. But for some people, it can make them super dead. But when the wrong folks get a hold of it, it can make New Orleans look like a Mardi Gras hangover.
Work It Movie Review
“Work It” is fun dance-your-heart-out comedy presented by Netflix. It takes a shop-worn story about how to get into the college of your dreams and gives it a hip-hop, be-bop makeover.

7500 Movie Review
The movie “7500” is an edge-of-your-seat thriller that takes you into a situation where any decision can turn out badly. When a loaded jet airliner takes off, there is a bland normalcy in the air. But then up in the air – aboard are terrorist hijackers ready to make a political statement rather than make demands.

The Vast of Night Movie Review
Streaming Release: May 29, 2020 on Amazon Prime
“The Vast of Night” follows the nighttime adventures of two people in a very tiny town beset by mysteries. This is wonderful original science-fiction independent production that seems destined to be reaching for higher places. The setting is in the early 1950’s in a small town located in New Mexico. But the real heart of this film is in the fine line that it walks between homage to early TV shows (“The Twilight Zone”, “The Outer Limits”) and the nostalgic embrace of past eras — such as seen in “American Graffiti” and even “Stranger Things”.
Rootwood Movie Review
“Rootwood” appears to be a revised version of the old Creepy Classic – “The Blair Witch Project”. But this one is updated into the millennial generation, so would that make it “The Blair Witch Podcast”? Actually the two main characters begin with a podcast that explores the supernatural realm, so that is what this little independent movie is going for. But, if people remember that the original “Project” was a lot of suspense and moody atmosphere that resulted into not much of anything — then is that the best thing you can base your new project on?
