Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 Movie Review

I’ll be honest. You may not love this film as much as the first Guardians. That’s a tough one to beat. The first one had a killer soundtrack. “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3” has an excellent soundtrack, but the music in the first one was exceptional.

See this at a comfy theater. It’s two and a half hours long, but you won’t get bed sores and it isn’t tiring. Rocket (Bradley Cooper) is listening to Radiohead’s “Creep,” which starts things off and sets the tone.

But, I’m sure you didn’t come here to see if the music held up to the first two of the trilogy.

Polite Society Movie Review

This title may have you thinking you’re in the neighborhood of watching a movie about people being sweet as they pass one another on the street and such.

This couldn’t be further from the truth. IMMEDIATELY, I thought I was in a Quentin Tarantino or Edgar Wright film. I looked up at the sign to make sure I hadn’t wandered into the wrong theater. So, get any loving strangers’ ideas out of your head.

Are You There God It’s Me, Margaret Movie Review

Judy Blume was everyone’s “other” mother. Well, she was when I was growing up, that is. Her stories fit perfectly into our lives, explaining to us, in a way the school hadn’t yet, what was happening with our bodies, why it was happening and if everyone was going through the same things. We didn’t want to approach our parents about certain topics or thoughts, especially concerning matters of our attraction toward the opposite sex. Judy Blume made it alright to hold that opinion. Chevalier Movie Review

The film is set in the prelude to the Paris Revolution. Mozart is giving a concert and a man from the crowd asks if he could play Mozart’s Violin Concerto No. Five with him on stage. Mozart accepts, yet when he sees it’s a black man, well dressed though he is (his father supported his son so he would want for nothing), Mozart asks his audience, “Who put you up to this?”

To Catch a Killer Movie Review

This movie starts out with a “BANG!” We begin with a New Year’s celebration and for some reason, the way it was all set in motion made me think of the Kathryn Bigelow film “Strange Days.” This being the case, I was expecting a three-minute-long POV shot. However, I was taken by surprise by what came next.
