I liked “The Inspection” but found it regurgitated a lot from “An Officer and a Gentleman.” There were several scenes that dealt with similar themes and others that looked and felt like a carbon copy of the Taylor Hackford film. Of course, there is one big difference, and that difference is what ultimately makes “The Inspection” worth seeing. It’s somewhat autobiographical as director Elegance Bratton relives his own experience in boot camp as a gay Black marine in the mid-2000s.

Marcel the Shell with Shoes On Film Review
“Marcel the Shell with Shoes On” is about as cute as it gets. In my opinion, the dialogue, circumstances and situations that arise around this little stop-motion animated shell seem to be geared toward adults. Still, the kids will go crazy for this adorable little guy and the darling voice Jenny Slate has given him. I think we all need a little cute in our life right now, so I can’t help but suggest you watch.
The Tragedy of Macbeth Movie Review
Thought to have been performed as far back as 1606, Oscar-Winning director Joel Coen (Fargo, Inside Llweyn Davis, No Country for Old Men), now gives us his interpretation of the Shakespeare classic “Macbeth.” Knowing the films he has been a part of, it won’t be a true revelation that this, too, is spectacular. It’s exquisite.

For his 2015 indie film “Tangerine,” he and Bergoch gave us an in-depth story of the life of sex workers who enjoy their orange juice and donuts. As well as being tumultuous, its slant turned out to be rather raw and captivating.
