Sing Sing

Sing Sing Movie Review

“Sing Sing” is an emotionally uplifting story set in the most depressing place — the maximum security prison called ‘Sing Sing’. Time Bandits Apple TV+ Series Review

Getting fully into this new ā€œTime Banditsā€ series is easier if you’ve never seen its predecessor. Though creators Jemaine Clement, Iain Morris, Taika Waititi do a good job of recreating the original intent, it’s for the love of all things Python that we watch. Letting that go will help you to just have fun in Waititi’s world, as it’s impossible to forget Gilliam’s, especially with familiar phrases like ā€œpointed stickā€ coming out of nowhere on occasion. There are only a few respectable differences between the two. Director Lee Isaac Chung, from ā€œManari,ā€ is good at storytelling. This film has no carry-over actors from the first film, and the story veers from people wanting to study tornadoes to people wishing to tame them… make them vanish before they destroy everything in their path. Chung does an excellent job of showing that distinction.
