“Zola” is based on the “Grand Literature” of these Modern Times. In other words, the movie is based on a Tweet. More like a Tweet avalanche of story beats posted over an epic weekend. It told of a “girl’s trip for fun and sun” to Tampa. Except that the fun and sun turned into debasement and debauchery. It went from Pole Dancing to Prostitution. This is based on true events, as they say. But then again — so was the Coen brother’s movie “Fargo”…

The Hitmans’s Wife’s Bodyguard Movie Review
“The Hitmans’s Wife’s Bodyguard” goes back to the starting point, which is the previous movie called “The Hitmans’s Bodyguard”. So there was a Hitman, who once made a Hit on the Bodyguard’s client. This ruined the Bodyguard’s career and reputation. Then the Bodyguard was called on to protect that same Hitman. Also the Wife of the Hitman was involved and the story went absolutely bonkers. It was quite an R-Rated Romp with a Ruckus Resulting from these Ridiculous Rascals.
A Quiet Place Part II Movie Review
Opens in theaters May 28
“A Quiet Place Part II” is both a short prequel and immediate follow-up to the 2018 hit movie “A Quiet Place”. Since it centers on the same family as in the first movie, the best thing is to see that movie first. In that way, you can see how seamlessly they have made the transition to “Part II”. When the Earth is invaded by alien creatures that hunt based on sound and not by sight – you will want to silently cheer for the Abbott family.
Final Account Movie Review
Opens in theaters May 21 (German language with English sub-titles)
“Final Account” is a painfully somber experience. The documentary goes back into the German past and digs up many ghosts of the Nazi era. This is in the form of normal elderly adults who, from childhood, grew up in the Third Reich. They were persuaded into thinking that the Fatherland would be the shining beacon for the world. They lived through the rise and fall of Hitler, only to now nominally reject the beliefs they once held dear.

“Profile” is an in-depth look at a female journalist in London who goes undercover. She goes in deep to find out about the on-line recruitment of young woman by hardened ISIS soldiers. These young girls and woman whom they befriend can become brides to the terrorists. Wrath of Man Movie Review
Opens in theaters starting May 7th
“Wrath of Man” is full-throated action revenge movie with a massive body count and an unlimited supply of ammo. It is a real gut-punch of mayhem and murder, fueled by cash in armored trucks and people willing to kill to get at it. But when an innocent bystander gets caught in the crossfire, a devious plot comes together to turn the crooks into Swiss cheese.
Without Remorse Movie Review
Available to stream on Amazon Prime (April 30th)
“Without Remorse” is an action-filled movie in the tradition of other Tom Clancy based movies. There is lot of political gameplay going on between nations, but the real work is done by the grunts and the Special Forces teams on the ground. The polite diplomatic discussions are moved aside for high-velocity gunfire and hand-to-hand fighting. The only way to get the job done is to finish off the other guy.
Voyagers Movie Review
“Voyagers” is a movie with science-fiction setting, but at the heart it is about pure deviant psychology. Think about “Lord of the Flies” set on a spaceship, and you get the idea. When a future Earth is facing ruin, the smart people send out a space ship to planet light-years away. The people sent to colonize a new world are raised as obedient sheep. But they won’t stay that way.
The Truffle Hunters Movie Review
“The Truffle Hunters” is a heartfelt documentary about a group of elderly men in Italy who hunt for the rare Alba truffle. Any of these men would be great at a party after hunting these mushrooms. After all he is such a ‘fungi’ (fun guy)…
