Bradley Cooper knows a lot about relationships and does an outstanding job of putting them on the screen for us. With his insightful directorial debut, he gave us “A Star is Born, followed up with “Maestro,” and now he arises triumphantly with his third film, “Is This Thing On.”
This movie is based on the 2008 somewhat fictional documentary, also titled Song Sung Blue, directed by Greg Kohs.

I wanted to like this so much, but I have to be honest in my disappointment with what I was hoping would be a James L. Brooks (several Oscars under his belt) triumphant return to the screen.
This solid film is written, directed, and produced by Shih-Ching Tsou and co-written by her filmmaking partner, Sean Baker, who also co-produced.
