In 2012, the brightest star in all of sports was an undersized freshman quarterback at unheralded Texas A&M, whose fervor on the field was rivaled only by his hard-partying ways off it. Coming out today is “The Baker.” It was filmed in the Cayman Islands in 2021. You finally get to see their work. The plot is relatively simple. It stars Ron Perlman, the huge man you’ll never not see as “Hell Boy.” He also had a stint on “Sons of Anarchy” as Clay Marrow and he had a role as Curtis Sunday in a little-known film that I happen to love (and you should see) called “Local Color.”
