I have to be honest. I did not think this movie was going to be very good. Stocks. GameStop. Kitty shirts. It didn’t seem like it would have very high entertainment value, especially for a particular crowd. I was happy to be wrong.
When you’ve watched the movie and look back at it, you’ll remember that “Flora and Son” was charming and sweet, even though, at times, it seemed anything but agreeable. You’ll see what I mean.

“Sitting in Bars with Cake” has an unusual premise. The beginning will almost have you considering something else to watch, but as the story progresses, it turns into something entirely different from the opening that has you discovering what’s behind the curtain.

Vertical’s “The Good Mother” is filmed and based in New York. Believe it or not, it wasn’t shot in Georgia! Sorry. That’s a personal thing… onto the review. It’s directed by Miles Joris-Peyrafitte, whose work has mostly been short films. Good for him to be moving up! It’s written by both him and Madison Harrison. They also worked together on the feature film named “As You Are.”
In case you’re unaware of exactly who Gold Meir (Helen Mirren) was and what she did, the beginning of the film shows us some old newspaper clippings and TV spots telling you a little you should know about what was going on around the time she entered the picture, being voted in as Prime Minister.
