I have to say one thing that I hope you attach great significance to… don’t mistake this for something to watch another time. See it now. Â
This is a passionate adaptation of Helen MacDonald’s memoir, a scholar and environmentalist. It’s a beautiful story you’ll want to stick with, even though it can be monotonous, and slow to almost to a crawl at times before picking back up, once again gaining your trust and attention. ​

This movie was very well done. It’s unnerving and intense. I’ll say it’s a watch at the theater film, mostly so you don’t get distracted. Keep your eyes on the screen at all times. You have to witness these performances.
This movie is based on the 2008 somewhat fictional documentary, also titled Song Sung Blue, directed by Greg Kohs. ​

As may be the case for you, before seeing this, I wasn’t aware that Christy Martin, played by Sydney Sweeney, existed. The sport of female boxing needed someone to get the word out. Christy did her part there.
