A24’s “SING SING” TO SHINE BRIGHT AS THIS YEAR’S PHOENIX FILM FESTIVAL OPENING NIGHT FILM!

A24’s SING SING, featuring Academy Award® nominee, Colman Domingo, takes center stage to kick off the 24th Annual Phoenix Film Festival! The cinematic magic will take place on Thursday, April 4th at Harkins Scottsdale 101 at 6:00pm.

SING SING stars an incredible cast of Colman Domingo, Clarence Maclin, Paul Raci, and Sean San José, helmed by Director Greg Kwedar. The script was adapted by Kwedar and Clint Bentley from Brent Buell’s play “Breakin’ the Mummy’s Code” and John H. Richardson’s’ “The Sing Sing Follies”.

Synopsis: Divine G (Colman Domingo), imprisoned at Sing Sing for a crime he didn’t commit, finds purpose by acting in a theatre group alongside other incarcerated men, including wary newcomer (Clarence Maclin), in this stirring true story of resilience, humanity, and the transformative power of art, starring an unforgettable ensemble cast of formerly incarcerated actors.
