A24’s film ‘Eight Grade’ to be the Phoenix Film Festival’s Closing Night Film

A24โ€™s โ€œEIGHTH GRADEโ€ AS CLOSING NIGHT FILM

Writer/Directorย Bo Burnhamย will be in attendance

PHOENIX, AZ โ€“ Tuesday, March 27 โ€“ Theย Phoenix Film Festivalย is excited to announce the Closing Night film as A24โ€™s โ€œEighth Gradeโ€, recently featured as part of the U.S. Dramatic Competition section of theย 2018 Sundance Film Festivalย and is currently 100% Fresh onย Rotten Tomatoes.

โ€œEighth Gradeโ€ starsย Elsie Fisher, Josh Hamilton, Emily Robinson, Jake Ryan and is written and directed by Bo Burnham.

Bo Burnham is also a comedian and actor, seen in 2017โ€™s โ€œThe Big Sickโ€ and star of 2013โ€™s MTV series, โ€œZach Stone Is Gonna Be Famousโ€. The 18thย Annual Phoenix Film Festival will take place from Thursday, April 5 to Sunday, April 15. Continually breaking attendance records since its inception, last yearโ€™s festival saw over 25,000 attendees and there are hopes to pull in even more film enthusiasts this year. The 11-day Festival will once again be held at Harkins Scottsdale 101 Theatre located at 7000 E. Mayo Blvd. Phoenix, AZ 85054.
