Deep Political Divides on BOTH sides

Synopsis & WHERE TO FIND IT NEAR YOU!
It was the smirk heard round the world, igniting a social and mainstream media shitstorm. But what really happened at the 2019 March for Life when MAGA-hat-wearing school boys from Kentucky appeared to mock a Native American elder on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial?
In this feature documentary, filmmaker Jonathan Schroder (NatGeo’s “The Incredible Dr. Pol”) investigates how the now infamous confrontation became one of the most polarizing viral moments in history while chronicling his own journey at his former high school, Covington Catholic.
A deeply personal documentary Schroder deftly explores the media’s insistence on immediacy over accuracy, the danger in prioritizing intent over impact and what it’s going to take if we ever hope to bridge the deep divides in our communities—and our country.
With “The Boys in Red Hats,” Jonathan Schroder directs and also produces. The film is written by Jonathan Schroder and Justin Jones, edited by John Dilley with Jason Neff as Director of Photography.
