Heavier Trip Movie Review

โ€‹

The band lovingly referred to as Impaled Rektum, because thatโ€™s their name, are beloved for reasons many cannot ascertain. Theirs is a story that you must see and perhaps you can help figure it out.

To be honest, I canโ€™t help but believe this is the newest cult classic. When itโ€™s viewed, word will get out, and hordes of movie fans in search of something uncommon and something unusual to watch will be happy to have found their next favorite comedy. Reason? It comprehensively covers the symphonic, post-apocalyptic, reindeer-grinding, Christ-abusing, extreme war pagan, Fennoscandian metal band ever.

I was not expecting what I saw. Actually, I wasn’t sure what I was expecting, but I was pleased with the outcome. You will be, too. Itโ€™s ridiculously insignificant, silly but brilliantly hilariousโ€ฆ itโ€™s impressive. There’s so much jocularity and wit that you just may wet yourself laughing. This is the sequel to โ€œHeavy Trip,โ€ which was equally fun. Here, crazy scenes are shot to present everything to you with the utmost hilarity, dialogue filled with foolishness, and perfect actors delivering those lines are side-splitting fun. Both movies are crazy. If youโ€™re okay with letting a wild group of mates who live in prison take you away for a little while, this is the movie for you.

These characters are nasty, cuss a lot, and are the most brutal metal group alive. They want to urge you to listen to and learn about metal music as much as possible in this offbeat comedy. In the beginning, you discover what prison is like for these men who want to jam but arenโ€™t allowed to. You see how they handle thatโ€ฆ or donโ€™t.ย Theyโ€™re in this Norwegian prison when they discover that the family of Lotvonen (Samuli Jaskio) needs money, and quick. Theyโ€™re approached by music producer Fisto (Anatole Taubman), who wants them to play at a music festival, and now, thatโ€™s all they can think about. The festival, called Wacken, is in Germany. It could end all their troubles. Their only option is to break out of prison. Soon, theyโ€™re out but not forgotten by one overzealous female guard on their tails the entire time. Her character brings on a lot of the comedy in the film. Breaking out of prison isnโ€™t as fun when someone can bust you at any moment. She seems always to be near.

If you like metal music, the filmmakers find an opportunity to pay homage to Motorheadโ€™s Lemmy Kilmister by using his hat. Youโ€™ll appreciate that. This is where metalheads will know theyโ€™re in the hands of people who recognize their value and the music they love. The fans must consider watching this. They’ll love this film and you will, as well.
