Experience The Brutalist in IMAX

– IMAX Early Access Screenings start December 18th —

  • A24 and IMAX are teaming up to bring the highly anticipated release of The Brutalist to IMAX theatres.
  • Exclusive, one-night early access screenings will take place on December 18 at AMC Lincoln Square in New York and AMC Century City in Los Angeles. The film will then expand to IMAX screens nationwide throughout January.
  • Tickets for December 18 available now at imax.com/brutalist.

  • Brady Corbet: “For me, there is no greater cinematic tool than Large Format Capture, and there is no greater canvas than IMAX. I am thrilled for audiences to have the opportunity to discover Lol Crawley’s exquisite Cinematography, Steve Single’s meticulous Sound Mix, and Daniel Blumberg’s indelible score in the way it was intended to be experienced. Maximum Volume Yields Maximum Results.”
  • The Brutalist has been heralded by critics as an “intensely cinematic experience” (Austin Chronicle) that demands to be seen on the big screen and “designed specifically for the communal moviegoing experience” (TIME).
  • The film received record Golden Globe nominations, including Best Motion Picture – Drama, and was named Best Film by the New York Film Critics Circle (NYFCC), among other accolades.
  • About the film: The Brutalist marks filmmaker Brady Corbet’s third directorial effort. The story centers on visionary architect László Toth as he attempts to rebuild his life in Post-War America. Initially forced to toil in poverty, Toth soon wins a contract that will change the course of the next 30 years of his life. The Brutalist  world premiered to critical acclaim at the 2024 Venice International Film Festival, where the jury awarded Corbet the Silver Lion for Best Director. The film went on to play both the Toronto International Film Festival and New York Film Festival.
  • About A24 and IMAX: A24 and IMAX have partnered to bring some of the most unique experiences of the past several years to audiences. Most recently, the duo partnered on a first of its kind Monthly Screening Series to showcase A24 classics never-before-seen in IMAX, an exclusive launch of Talking Heads’ “Stop Making Sense”, “The Tragedy of Macbeth” and limited releases for “Everything, Everywhere All At Once”, “Beau is Afraid” as well as a live event and nationwide screenings for the 25th anniversary of Darren Aronofsky’s “Pi.”
