The 2022 International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival will be returning for its 18th year in conjunction with the annual Phoenix Film Festival.
The 2022 International Horror and Sci-Fi Film Festival takes place March 31 – April 10, 2022. Attendees can catch premieres of short and feature horror and sci-fi films from all over the world.
“We are so excited to be back at the movies with such a diverse lineup of genre films,” said Monte Yazzie, IHSFF Festival Director. “We have a little bit of everything for every horror and science fiction fan. Titles
Iké Boys (showing Friday, April 1st at 7:40 pm): When a magical anime transforms two Japan-obsessed teenage friends and a shy foreign exchange student into its superpowered characters, the three underdogs must discover their inner heroes in time to save the world.
Hypochondriac (showing Saturday, April 9th at 7:10 pm): A young Hispanic gay potter’s life devolves into chaos as he loses function of his body while being haunted by the physical manifestation of his childhood trauma.
Jethica (Arizona premiere on Friday, April 8th at 9:35pm): Hiding out in New Mexico after a freak accident, Elena runs into Jessica, an old friend from high school. When Jessica’s stalker suddenly shows up at their door, they must seek help from beyond the grave to get rid of him, for good.
Gatlopp: (World Premiere on Friday, April 1st at 9:40pm): A group of old friends reunites for a nostalgic evening of fun and games after a decade apart. After one too many, they decide to play a drinking game, but it’s quickly revealed that this game comes with supernatural stakes. Mischief leads to mayhem, and the group realizes that if they can’t come together to win the game by sunrise, they will be forced to play for eternity – in hell.
