​Samara Weaving is everywhere these days. She was in “Ready or Not 2,” which is still in theaters, and is also in “Carolina Caroline,” being released in the theaters on June 5 of this year. It’s still in the film festival circuit. The woman is on a hot streak. I’m sure it won’t be her last.
David Lowery, who wrote and directed this film, has a handful of movies that I can’t say enough good things about. His 2017 feature, “A Ghost Story,” a supernatural romance starring Casey Affleck and Rooney Mara is a personal favorite.​

“Michael” is a biography that focuses on the King of Pop. Michael Jackson is well-known as incredible artist and performer. This movie about his life only amplifies the positives and avoids any of the negatives. It is a glorious jukebox of Jackson’s Greatest Hits, and a concentrated blast of music and dancing.
​Used in the review of this movie will not be the word normal. Why? Because this is anything but that. Bob Odenkirk knows his audience well. That being the case, he and the writer of Nobody 1 & 2 wrote this screenplay knowing you’d enjoy what they came up with.
“Lee Cronin’s The Mummy” is a movie about, well, a Mummy — but not in the ancient-thousands-of-years-old variety. This is a sickly twisted version that is closer to “The Exorcist” than “The Scorpion King”. The cursed tomb is replaced by a cursed family house.
