Though there was some redundancy, and you get the feeling that the writing could have left out some talking down to you as if you don’t “get it,” this excellent film was perfectly cast. It’s a tale you’ve been told before, but it shouldn’t be missed.
“Smile 2” is a horror movie that continues with the same features as the first movie (“Smile”). This movie is effectively disturbing, or perhaps just disturbingly effective. The idea of a nameless demon monster, the “Smile Entity”, which can transfer from one person to another person is scary. Plus — the ‘infected’ person gives a future ‘host’ a patented “Creepy Smile”, just before they kill themselves. Would that be ‘Smile-icide’? Read more
“We Live in Time” could be a typical story of the stages of a relationship. But it is being told in a very non-typical way.
